Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was able to look at the variety of events happening in the world and see the amount of conflict between different points of view. A radical event like a global pandemic and the amount of conflict in the world at the time gave me the opportunity to really understand my opinions on certain subjects. Humanities is letting me apply these ideas I have formed by seeing how key historical events and social movements form, and the social tensions behind them.

The opinion editorial piece gave me the opportunity to express my opinion on a social idea I am passionate about.
